Wetsuits?
Wetsuits contest against wetsuits and Channel Rules contest against Channel Rules. The separation is at the results stage - and yes you are still able to join for hot chocolate (but please mark on the Mass entry form you are in a wetsuit)
Hare or Hound? Who is a Hound?
Sub 6 minutes for 400m OR in Top Half of last 1SOMS OR keen to Chase/Race. You are set-off 5 minutes after the Hares. This is deducted after the race from the elapsed time to give a race time.
Hare or Hound? Why?
The 5 minute separation keeps the swimmers together for longer; its also safer and faster (for both leaders (HARES) and chasers (HOUNDS)). Both groups have a lifesaver leading the group to keep you on track.
