Get used to the idea of enjoying the good life...that is pack your goggles and swim cap the night before ;-) (Race number on back of hand) On the day..Roll quietly out of the warm bed... feel how warm it is.. Arrive with plenty of time to spare (if you are a newcomer you have to fill in paperwork - download the entry form, complete, print and sign). Ensure you have a race number- write it on the back of your hand (the night before... always a great conversation starter!) Silicon swim-cap REQUIRED. Permitted colours are YELLOW, ORANGE, PINK . Everyone signs the mass entry and head-count control sheet (race number, Surname, FIrst Name, Signature) Entries close 25 minutes before the start time (of the Hares) [So we can try ensure safety counts are performed] Attend the race briefing - no attendance then no swim. Race briefing 15 minutes before the start time (of the Hares) [That is on the hour] Hares are set off at 15 minutes past the hour... the Hounds will be released 5 minutes later (after having Race numbers recorded) Route alongside -> Collect a position tag - hold onto this you need it! If there is no queue give race number and position tag to the registration table otherwise get warm before giving this in. Your place is held by the position tag. Congregate at the finish flags/registration table after the last swimmer finishes. Applaud - you know what it feels like... its been a long way Head count of starters to finishers needs to be completed. Listen for the next race. Check this website for results (+/- 2 days).
